The Pro Plus v4, whilst also having sound components which repel birds such as crows and starlings, was designed with the silver-eye as the prime target.
The Pro Plus v4 is unique as it is the only sound unit which has both natural and unnatural sound sequences. It has the sound of a butcher bird (the silver-eye's natural predator) which the silver-eye is terrified of, coupled with the Electronic Scarecrow (ESC) and the Flower Fruit Scarer (FFS) harassment sounds which both work very well on silver-eyes.
As butcher bird's vocals are of a much lower frequency than the ESC and FFS, a different speaker type is required to get the best reproduction. Therefore, the Pro Plus #4 comes with 2 different speakers - one for the lower frequency butcher bird (a P.A type speaker) and one for the higher frequency harassment sounds of the ESC and FFS.
