Swallow Repeller
Swallows are becoming an increasing problem for domestic homes, machinery sheds, boats, and industrial buildings. Larger anti swallow devices have been available for some time and to cater for smaller areas, we now have the smaller weatherproof Swallow Repeller.
The Swallow Repeller is 12v and can be supplied with either a 240 adaptor with a 2-metre power cord, a 12v battery jack or a 240 adaptor with a 15-metre power cord. The Swallow Repeller has one built-in speaker with a normal maximum effective range of 10 metres.
An additional external speaker with a 30-metre cable can be plugged into the back of the device allowing it to be installed up to 30 metres away thus doubling the area covered. This extra speaker is often used to repel Swallows around a corner or to target any persistent birds that find a spot to hide from the device.
The device randomly and intermittently emits audible bird sounds such as Swallow distress call and Falcon or predator type calls. Up to 8 bird calls are used and always played in a random hectic fashion to enhance the confusion and fear of the Swallows.
Like most Bird Gard products the Swallow Repeller is easy to install and can be programmed for either day, night or 24-hour operation. The time off period between the random emissions can be varied from 17 seconds up to 30 minutes.
The Swallow Repeller has a volume control which can be adjusted but for best results always use full volume.
