Pest Control Product FAQ’s

What do I do if it doesn’t work?
If your possums have not shown any change in their behaviour after a few weeks then please contact the office so we can assist you in getting the most out of the unit.
Will you really give me my money back if it doesn’t work?

Yes, if you have purchased a unit and it is within the 30-day money-back guarantee then contact us to advise us that you are returning the unit.  Send it back to us in good working order and we will refund the money.

Does it affect birds?

Yes, in some situations it can repel swallows and pigeons whereas other birds such as Indian Mynahs are not bothered by it all.

Do I have to turn the unit on and off?

There is no need to turn the unit on and off.  Just set the unit to CONSTANT and then you have three choices of operation – 24 Hour, Day or Night.  The unit has a light sensor so if you set the unit to CONSTANT NIGHT, then it will turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.

Will I hear it if I put it in my ceiling?

Ultrasonics do not penetrate solid objects so if you are using the unit in your ceiling space to get rid of possums, you will not hear it in the rooms below.

How many will I need?

One unit covers up to a maximum range of 14 metres horizontal with an arc spread of 170 degrees and 10 metres vertical with a cone spread of 60 degrees.  If the area you are wanting to protect is larger than this then we suggest you purchase two more units.  Also if you are wanting to defend a front and back yard you will need two units, one for each area.  Ultrasonics does not penetrate solid objects so when using in your ceiling you may possibly need another unit if there is a dividing wall.

How long do the 9V batteries last for?

When using the unit on Continuous 24 Hours the batteries last for 7 days.  When using the unit on Continuous Night or Day Only, the batteries last for 14 days.  We recommend using batteries for back up only.

How much power does it use?

The power consumption is a minimum of 13 watts.

What about poison bait, mouse traps and glue traps?

Household pests will consider traps and poison an easily accessible source of food and they can potentially draw more pests into the area.  We recommend removing any such food sources prior to using our units. Poisons of course may kill non targeted species.

Do the products emit any harmful electromagnet (E.M.) radiation?
